Check out Doug’s friend (it’s the potato)!

At last nights meetup there were a lot of electronics projects plus I brought out my flexographic printing project.

I did a presentation on the software toolchain I’m using for my flexographic printing project.

I made some plates for a portrait for Inessa but they came out warped. Arnold put them in the oven at 325 stacked between plates of aluminum and a 10lb ballast and they came out perfect.

Everyone got a go at it.

Yesterdays meetup!

Last nights meetup was a blast. With guest CNC machines there were 11 of them. One did it’s first cutting ever and one was in for service.

Great meetup last night.

A great time was had by all. Several interesting projects were shown off.

There was a demo on how to make a stamp from a wood block.

Yesterday we experimented with wooden ink stamps. The stamps are made using the CNC cutter and we were hand pressing the stamps. This is incredibly fun and I’m pretty sure some of will be making more! I did a demo of making a stamp and I made up my own business card.

Sarah was showing off her arduino project. As you can see she’d been 3D printing, soldering, breadboarding and programming. Her project is a haptic feedback system.
