Wednesday Meetup

Our last meetup was a bit more sparse than usual but it looks like some progress was made on fixing up one of the participants guitar amp.

Library Maker Meetups

Printmaking at Onaki Fab Lab

This week I demonstrated how to make business cards using Inkscape on the laser cutter. Also how to make printmaking plates using the laser. We then tried printmaking using some of my existing plates. Up next participants will make their own business cards, other cards or art. Should be interesting to see what comes forward.

FabLab Onaki

Arduino and other workshops in progress at the new makerspace.

I talked this up a bit in the online and Doug showed interest. Looks like we’re going to be doing a lot of fun stuff!

Sunday Meetup Pictures

We had another of our outdoor meetups today.

A new project has emerged. Several of us are making carts! So far there is Lakota, Doug, Eric and Darcy that all have some prototypes of electric carts.

This will become programming at the makerfaires and some schools.

Picnic and Space Program

We made some progress on the space program thanks to Steve (of rimstar.org). He made a complete apparatus for electrolysis. We learned a lot from it and it will affect our next steps.

I also flew my magnus glider but I’ve not got any pictures on that yet…
